Spring Activities

The winter frost has gone, leaving us with a beautiful new year’s green and excellent weather. It’s time to make the best of that splendid weather and take part in some spring fun in Dublin, OH. Join us as we discuss five spring activities around the Dublin area.

Peruse Fractal Art at the Patterns in Nature Exhibit

Fractal art refers to those fascinating squiggly patterns that repeat indefinitely as you zoom in or out of them. And it just so happens that Ohio is home to three renowned fractal artists: Karen Snouffer, Andrea Myers, and Jonah Jacobs. Each year, they unveil their latest work alongside those of local students.

You will find this exhibition at 7125 Riverside Drive. Admission is free, and they are open Tuesday to Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Get Your Namaste on With a Nature Walk

Spring is perhaps the best time to fulfill that longtime goal you have of practicing regular meditation. On May 13, the aforementioned Karen Snouffer will be taking you and your friends on a brief retreat into Dublin’s famous Park. Karen will speak on topics relating to art and embodiment, as well as unveiling her upcoming Turkey Tail Magic exhibit.

Make sure you bring your walking shoes and show up at 12:30 PM, also at 7125 Riverside Drive. Leave the bustling city behind for just a moment to think and contemplate life.

Get Fresh Spring Produce in Bridge Park’s Market

Dublin’s Market is as regular as the spring itself. Locals gather for live entertainment, baked goods, and flowers with all the most recent blooms. In particular, you want to show up on May 6 for Dublin’s market opening day. This is an excellent family activity, so pack the little ones into your 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. You’ll need the extra cargo space to bring home all the delicious local produce you’ll buy.

If you miss the opening, you are free to drop by any time between 9 AM and 12 PM. This one is also at Bridge Park, so now you have another excuse to go out and get a whiff of the spring bloom.

Practice Your Golf Clap at the Muirfield Village Golf Club

Ever heard of Jack Nicklaus? He’s a famous golfer, and just so happens to hail from the Columbus area. Each year, he graciously hosts the Memorial Tournament right here in Dublin. The tee-off starts May 29th at 9 South High Street, but the real tournament doesn’t begin until Thursday at a bright and early 7:30 AM.
